Does anyone know that get a incomplete c1 spinal cord injury and survive?

Question:
i have a c1 incomplete spinal cord injury and am very curious who else has got one and survived.

Answers:
Hi Emily, sorry here of your injury, myself I am a C2-C3 complete. With an incomplete injury it is very possible to survive and fully function depending on the severity of the injury.
I saw on tv a few weeks ago a gentleman in a car accident who's head was essentially severed according the xrays at the base of the skull. His spinal cord was fine though, they showed the surgeons stabilizing everything so the vertebrae could heal...I beleive it was on discovery health. Absolutely Amazing.

My mom has a stretched spinal cord. Her neck was fused at C6-C7 to prevent the loss of her arms. The doctors never believe her til they see the MRI themselves and see her spinal cord squiggled up through her neck. It should have broken instead of stretched so much, its a miracle really.
