Sprained foot?


Question:
sprained foot how long do i have to be on cruhes for my doctor did not tell me how long i have to be on the cruches ? for please i need answers and a lot of them my doctor told me that i have to see a foot doctor how long should i weight unitl calling my doctor back for the #?
please neeed 2 differnt answers

That's really impossible to tell without knowing further about your injury...a "typical" sprain will require you to use crutches for only as long as you need to (a couple days?)...more serious sprains...grade III and IV and LisFranc sprains are more serious and might require crutches for 6-8 weeks. I would call the podiatrist on Monday morning to set up an appointment to get some better answers. (I'd also look for a foot doctor who is also board certified in orthopedic surgery).
i'm not sure about the second question. but you'll just be on crutches until it heals completley. at least one month.

Depends on the sprain, normally these heal on their own. You can expect some swelling and pain for about 9 months to a year. Good luck
