What do growing pains feel like?

Question:
The physical ones, not the emotional ones.

Answers:
Growing pains are aches and the feeling of soreness in your joints. You feel like you have just run a marathon when you might be only sitting there on your computer. Some can be painful like a good leg ache or hip ache. It is only your body letting you know that your bones are growing and you are maturing.
painful?
your joints hurt.
mainly in the legs, a deep aching feeling that you cant touch, that seemed to bother me most when i was trying to sleep.
umm isnt that when ur bones start growing...i dunno but my niece had that..that s wat the doc said..lol...
For me it was just some pains in my knees for a few months.
mine are cramps, soreness, sometimes what happens to me is that i will go through a week or so of (what seems to the outside world as depression) sleeping, not much eating just alot of sleep, then the next 2 weeks i play catch up, and eat non stop

my muscles and joints, bones, etc ache when i wake up or just in general
No personal experience, but one of my kids shot up 9 inches in 3 months at age 12, and he was in intolerable pain the entire time, and for a while after.
The dr. put him on children's aspirin, alternating with tylenol, and recommended alternating hot and cold packs. Both these treatment methods seemed to give him some relief.
Since his growth spurt was in summer, we had to curtail a lot of his physical activity and outdoor time (we live in North La. (HOT!). By the next year, all was well, except the migraines which started during his growing, and which he still has 25 years later, but the Dr said that the migraines and the sudden growth were not related. I don't necessarily believe that, but at least the joint pain stopped. There was pain within the long bones, too, and he described that as "being on the rack" (a medieval form of torture, where people were tied hand and foot and stretched--ouch!)
Just be patient, and be as still and quiet as possible, and it will be over soon. (I hope!)
Good Luck!
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS GROWING PAINS!! Growing doesn't hurt ,pain is your body's' way of telling you something is wrong.
If any doctor tells you that you have growing pains fire him and get a real doctor.
You didn't say where or what kind of pain you are having, but it's absolutely NOT FROM GROWING.
My daughter almost committed suicide from "growing pains" turns out she had Spina Bifida occulta,a birth defect that had gone undiagnosed.
Her spinal cord had grown outside her spinal column attaching itself on the outside causing extreme pain and partial paralysis.
Along with 3 bulging disks.
So always have a child pain of any kind checked out thoroughly.
