Why Do Toes Tense?

Question:
Sometimes, When I'm just walking around one of my toes just freeze up in an abnormal position and I have to take my shoes off and hold it back in place till it's normal again. and it hurts too. Or sometimes if I pop my toes, it'd bend in a certain way (under the adjacent toe) and I won't be able to move it back unless I forcefully use my hand to position it back to where it's suppost to be.

Answers:
Holy crap I get the exact same thing, and I thought it was only me! I have no idea what it is, but when it happens to me, it takes about 3 seconds for it to get painful and i have to adjust it, too ><
I have no idea what it is, but I'm glad it happens to someone else, too XD
tight tendons. i had to have foot surgery last november to relieve myself of this (as well as a bunion). it was so painful for me, i could barely walk long distances or wear sneakers. that's when i realized i had to do something about it. so my mom took me to a podiatrist to have my foot evaluated (xrays, etc). it was the best decision i ever made.
