Sleep is awesome but only if you can sleep...?
Question:

One of the problems people have when they start to find falling asleep difficult is that they become very anxious about it. This usually results in more sleepless nights, and it can become almost a permanent problem. As you've only had it for 3 nights, now's the time to ditch the anxiety, before you set a pattern.
My late husband's mother told him when he was just a boy that he should never worry about sleeping - that if he just lay awake in bed, even all night, he was still resting and his body was being restored and renewed ready for action in the morning. He always found that very helpful, and after he told me (I'm generally an exceptionally good sleeper, but when I had very small children I did sometimes find I was too keyed up to fall asleep easily) I applied that theory, and soon found my wakefulness vanished, and sleep came easily again.
Try it, just enjoy relaxing in a warm, comfortable bed, and don't worry about being awake, even if it last for hours. I hope this will help and maybe work for you.

I always have trouble falling asleep. Im sorry to say that I dont know what to do since I have the same problem. I think you ned to clear your mind and relax a bit after a long day, and then I think youll be able to fall asleep, but it naver works for me. Try listening to relaxing sounds like ocean waves, a mountain stream, or a rainfall. I have a sound machine that makes these noises, but they dont help me get to sleep, so Im not entirely sure that these ideas will work for you.
The main thing is not to get anxious about it. That makes it worse. I usually stay up too late, and can fall asleep then.
Or try doing a meditation while in bed. So many people fall asleep when they try to meditate lying down that it might be a way to fall asleep.
