Sore Muscle QUICK Relief?

I am a fullback in football, and yesterday during a scrimmage I nailed a nerve in my elbow which still hurts, my right groin is killing me and my left hamstring hurts badly.

I have taken many hot baths, stretched, and have Myroflex on it now. Practice is at 6:00 and its 2:40 now. Should I take aspirin? Should I put on more myroflex. It hurts to run and I don't wanna look bad today.

OK, I know you're a fullback and it may sound kinda girlie, but if you take a hot bath with peppermint and euchanacia essential oils, it will relieve sore muscles instantly. Make sure that you soak in the tub and take deep breaths, because the smell of the peppermint is half of the treatment. It will help with headaches and sinuses, too!

If aspirin doesn't work. try a NSAID like alieve...which is over the counter naproxen. Take double the dose of the OTC med. Next up, mild muscle relaxants.see your doctor for these.
first take a tylenol or advil. then, ice for about 20 mins. then 20 mins heat.
I used to take Advil for football-related aches and pains and it worked pretty well. Just make sure you don't abuse it. I used to know people who took too much and it definitely was not healthy.

All "fresh injuries" should be treated with ice for the first 24-48 hours. After that, it is safe to apply moist heat. Advil is safe medication to take and they are 200 mg each, you can safely take 3 tablets (600 mg) three times daily. Thats providing that you have no allergies and no stomach problems. Use a 3 or 4 inch ace wrap on you elbow to give it some support and remove it at bedtime. If the elbow and knee continues to bother you or is getting worse, see your physician. A 6 inch ace can also be applied to the knee.
