Having just read through the remedies for wasp stings I be amazed no one have mentioned Adolf’s Meat Tenderizer. I have a severe allergic recoil to wasp stings – mostly the Paper Wasp which is commonly mistaken for the Yellow Jacket. My lungs swell and I can’t breath – needless to read out this is life threatening. The second time I had this situation transpire a very childlike Doctor (after giving me an anti-venom shot) told me to always convey a small package of Adolph’s Meat Tenderizer beside me everywhere I went. He stated to me that the chemicals contained by the tenderizer that dissolve proteins in meat would neutralize the proteins surrounded by the venom. So I put some surrounded by my car, my boat, saddle pouch on my motorcycle and a small plastic baggie (rings come in them) within my wallet. In the last 10 years I own been stung at lowest possible 8 times and never had to turn for another shot to relieve the allergic symptoms. The key is inwardly the first two minutes apply moisture (saliva, water, tea, coffee or anything moist - I even tried Dr Pepper once) to showery thee area and apply adequate of the powder to create a paste over the bite. I hold not had any allergic symptoms and unbelievably little irritation every time.
