Can cuts in mouth cause excessive saliva?

Question:
i have a habit of biting the inside of my mouth all the time, since i was like 10 years old. I'm 15.. but anyway, can cuts in your mouth cause you to have a lot of saliva in your mouth ??

Answers:
yes, but as to the biting your mouth, i do that from time to time and a dentist told me to go to walmart and go to sports section and get a mouth guard to sleep in ( follow directions on making it fit). they are like $1-$2. what happens is you bite it once and it swells so you are more likely to keep doing it because your cheeks are in the way. this way the swelling will go down in just a couple of days and things go back to normal. i just have to wear it maybe once a year now.
