If I can find out when it was made and when it was sold or even what store it was sold at it would greatly help me in my little investigation . I thank you in advance for your help.

even if you were the one who bought it, who's to say it wasn't someone else who used it?
If this is what you have to go through with your lover/spouse/friend.. is it really worth being with them? If you don't trust that person then what's the sense of being together?
My advice is - MOVE ON! Life is to short to waste time on trying to find out if someone is lying to you. You deserve better and you know it.
maybe contact customer service at Trojan ? but i'm not sure that the you will know because the store that sold it could have old or new stock. imagine trying to identify a can or corn that has a three year expiration on it.
How do you know it didn't come out of a visitor to your houses wallet/purse ?
I think I would just come out and ask / make a joke about the condom and see the reaction of the person you are wondering about. This won't prove anything, but you can start watching, checking phone numbers/ emails, etc. and be the little spy if you think you have reason.
