The effects of alcohol on a concussion?

Question:
I was jumped walking home from a pub last Sunday night, and got a mild concussion, I didn't lose consciousness but I was dazed and confused for couple of hours and I don't remember any of the fight or the rest of the night. All I can remember is waking up a few hours later after the fight and the quick trip to the hospital. I worked all week and want to go out tonight for a couple of pints but I am not sure if that will affect the healing process that my bruised brain me need to repair itself. Can anyone find a medical link explaining what you can and can't do when recovering from a concussion.

Answers:
It was alcohol that CAUSED the concussion.

If you aren't an alcoholic, then don't have any until your head is healed.

If you just HAVE to have it, well.I'm sorry to hear that. You need to get help.
Go for it! Maybe you will get jumped again, and this concussion will cancel out the first one. You certainly don't want to risk going out for even one night.
Drink 1 drink and wait a hour before you have another. I would recommend to drink no more than 2, that is if you have to drink. I would wait another week if I was in your shoes. Be careful and make sure your buddies is with you and NO shooters!!
DUDE! A CONCUSSION IS A FORM OF BRAIN DAMAGE!
People die from concussions, do not go drinking until a doctor tells you that you can.
You're not out of the woods yet. My brother suffered post concussion syndrome weeks after having a concussion.
you need to lay off alcohol for a while. alcohol kills brain cells and your brain is trying to mend.
