Floridians... I NEED HELP.?


Question:
soo im moving in 10 days to florida and i am married and have a 6 month old baby. now it's going to take some time for us to get health insurance and all that stuff, but does the state of florida have some kind of free health care? even if not for me but for my baby? he needs his shots & i have asthma and need to have my prescriptions so i need some kind of health care...i dont know... if you know anything can you please give me some helpful answers.

There is no free health care down here...it's suck so much...but as far as I know, there is none. :-(

Not really any free health care. But I suggest checking out myFlorida.com.

Used to live there not my cup of tea personally, but I have to say, their website was incredible. How I found a lot of our doctors and general info about the state.
There is "shots for tots" here in Florida thru the local health departments, that are free. There is no subsidized care here for adults...There are places that are clinics that charge according to your income, usually staffed by doctors paying off their school loans by working in an underserved area but that is about it. Florida has a large immigrant population (legal and illegal) and there are not tons of jobs for unskilled labor so be prepared. Even people with a Bachelor's degree can spend alot of time finding work...at least here in SW Florida.
