It could be a number of things...from internal hemorrhoids (minor) to a GI bleed or intestinal rupture (life-threatening)! She might not need a scope, they may be able to locate the source of the bleeding with radiographic tests (MRI/CT). They do have pediatric scopes that are performed if need be. Please get her checked...she's experiencing pain and she could end up with anemia or worse if the source of bleeding isn't found.
When you are dealing with a child don't wait take the kid to the doctor or you are negligent!

This needs to be checked out ASAP. Bright red bleeding means fresh blood from the lower digestive tract. She needs to see a gastroenterologist or some other specialist ASAP. Call and get her seen now by a regular doc and get a referral to a specialist right away too.
