Questions about blood pressure and health?

High Blood Pressure has little or no symptoms but mainly damages the eyes, heart and kidneys. Becoming numb while doing heavy exercise sounds more like high blood glucose (sugar) levels, rather than HBP. If you have a meter (to check sugar lvl's) use that. If the number is higher than 120 than that means you may have diabetes. I would check it 3 times a day because the number is usually higher in the morning. What part of your body is numb during exercise? If its your face I would go to a doctor immediately because you could be having a mini-stroke. (If you lose eyesight in one or more of your eyes then you are having a full blown stroke) So, I would go get this checked out ASAP.
High blood pressure causes few symptoms, but can lead to dangerous consequences like heart attack. As far as your numbness, it could be nerve related. To keep your blood pressure healthy, eat a balanced diet low in sodium and cholesterol, do plenty of aerobic exercise, don't smoke, limit alcohol intake, and stay well hydrated. Check your blood pressure regularly. It should average out to around 120/80. If it is consistently too high or too low see a doctor. Some people have blood pressure problems no matter how healthy they eat and how much they exercise (like me). If you find that you have high or low blood pressure, consult your doctor to see how to modify your exercise and diet or if you need medication. While you are there, tell him about your numbness problem and find out if it is a blood circulation problem, or something else entirely. Just a note, one can have circulatory problems and have a normal blood pressure.
With high blood pressure, the heart works harder, your arteries take a beating, and your chances of a stroke, heart attack, and kidney problems are greater. High blood pressure does not make a person numb when doing heavy exercise, it is probably a nerve that is being pinched or a herniated disc. Ginkgo biloba, aloe vera plant's polymers, using cayenne pepper, L-Arginine Cream, Pomegranate Juice, cocoa, and Chocolate are ways to help increase blood flow.
