maybe you have a severe dry lip, so i suggest you use Vaseline every time and also put it before you go to bed.
and also don't lick our lips.
chop it off
DO NOT irritate them at all, drink water and put on vaseline about 2 times a day. That should do it in no time
ouch, that sounds so painful!!
If your constantly using chap stick, your lips forget how to produce their own natural oils and moisture, so although seems a good idea in the short term, its not actually that good in the long term.
Im sorry to say but i think that the only way your going to get over this is to stop using chap stick altogether and let you lips do their natural thing - dont pick or bite, it'll only make them worse. Once they've flaked themself they should return to theie natural beautiful self!
Will take some will power -but i hope that helps, xx
Hmm... Sometimes your lips get chapped if your taking powerful acne medications. Keep applying chapstick even if you have to do it a lot.
Try not to lick your lips. That makes it worse. You picking at them and making them bleed will never make them heal. Leave them ALONE!
If it doesn't get better go see a doctor for some helpful medication.
A lot of chapsticks available contain menthol, which leave the lips dryer than they were before application. Also, petroleum products are not good for the long term health of your skin. Find a chapstick that is free of menthol and petroleum, and you might find your lips become much healthier and more comfortable. These chapsticks can be found at any "health food" store.
Don't peel it. It may be b/c of the cold. Use a chapstick, drink water and continue rewetting them.
Drink lots of water. I use Vaseline instead of chap stick and if you are breathing through your mouth, that might be causing it. Don't touch it. It will make it worse.
It seems sun burn, high altitudes, drastic cold weather and over all quick weather changes are the time my lips chap.
It seems when I keep them all the way rolled up in my mouth all the time all day long when in these weather conditions they heal fastest and stay out of trouble of chapping.
Some honey lemon tea when indoors is a good soother.
To not inhibit hydration with too much salt, alcohol, caffeine, sodas with distilled water durin chapping
Try brething through your nose more.
Cold weather brings it on especially if there is a wind chill factor with strong biting, cutting and stinging winds in winter in a moist or foggy atmosphere. Frosty mornings don't help either.
Stop picking at your lips!! Keep the chapstick on - there is a brand called Carmax that is much better than the actual Chapstick name brand. It's softer and goes on much better and is not waxy. Mainly, you've gotta stop picking at them!!
