Is he spitting up blood or is he spitting out blood. A small amount of blood from the mouth may look like a lot. If rinsing his mouth appears to stem the tide then rinsing his mouth with salt water may help. However if he is coughing up blood or vomiting blood he must have medical attention now. The black eye suggests a fight and the blood may be coming from his lips or teeth. If lips he will live. If teeth he may need a dentist. If coughing or vomiting he may die.
Ummm... a trip to the ER might be in order?
Tell him to go see the doctor...soon would be good.
Or the hospital- he could have ruptured something internally.
