"Friend" just got DUI and is a chronic doctor shopper?

I have a friend. This dude just got off of a DUI because he had one of the many doctors he is shopping for drugs from write a letter saying there was an error in his prescription. He goes from doctor to doctor and gets pain pills and pain shots and cough medicine and seizure meds and antidepressants - anything that will give him a buzz. He hit a guardrail on the freeway and didn't even know he did it. The car behind him on the freeway called it in and he was pulled over. It is unfair - he shouldn't be able to get off so easy. What should i do

Well, if he is really your friend, confront him. Tell him if he doesn't get help you're going to have to drop him as a friend because you don't want to be around when he kills someone and or himself. You can also make some calls give the Dr the info don't leave your name and get the hell out of the way.
I know what I am talking about. Do you know why they call it "tough love?" because it's tough. As for you...get off the fence before someone gets killed

you should remove yourself from the whole situation. he's gone and you can't save him now.

People like this guy, will cause a family to go through great heartache. Because he is going to kill someone. It seems when this addicts get involved in an accident, they live and the other person dies. What should you do? report him to the authorities. He is a lethal weapon.

I would call the local police and tell them. Tell them his situation and see if they can not lock him up but rather get him so help.
The chances of him getting help, and doing well are very slim. He must hit rock bottom, and decide he needs the help.

I would stay away from him to start with. He's an accident waiting to happen. He's a druggie into prescription medicine and not far from searching for meth and coke to get a bigger buzz from.
When or if you tell him he needs help, he'll dump you, thinking your against him.

It would be a safe suggestion to not ride around with him. He's going to end up in the ER of jail.
