Question:
I got my eyebrow pierced (professionaly) on Aug 7th. It's been healing great, and it doesn't hurt or bleed anymore. But two days after I got it done on Aug. 9th a bruise appeared right below my eyebrow and above my eye. I did not get hit and I didn't run into anything, it just appeared. It's a very dark purple color. It started off looking like masacara was smeared on my eye (and no i haven't worn make-up since I got it done) and each day it got darker and bigger. Now it's red too. The bruise does not hurt or bother me in anyway. Should I be concerned about it? Has this happen to you, and will it go away? How long will it take to go away? Thank you in advance.
Answers:
It's normal. There was a trauma to the area so it's normal that there would be a bruise. The whole area around your eyes and nose is so sensitive. It's similar to how most people who get a broken nose also end up with a black eye, or even two black eyes. Just monitor it, if you get a rash or if the bruise doesn't start to fade in the next few days go get checked, but really, it's probably okay. Follow the care instructions they gave you so you don't get an infection and you should be fine.
apply vit e oil twice daily
sounds like its blood from the piercing under the skin which is basically what a bruise is - blood under the skin caused by an injury. it will go away but maybe will take a while. my daughter had same when she got her belly button pierced it took a while to disappear.
