If you are not at the age when you should be going through menopause, it could be your metabolism speeding up. If you feel hot when you wake up, you might just be covering with too many blankets or wearing too many articles of clothing.
If you are over 40, you may be starting menopause, since night sweats are common during it, as can be feeling generally unwell. Otherwise, use fewer or lighter weight blankets, since if you are too hot at night you may not be getting a good quality sleep, and a poor sleep can cause you to definitely feel generally lousy (I know from experience).
Night sweats might be nothing but can be caused by serious infections or diseases such as lymphoma, TB or HIV. Best get checked out just to be safe.
Sometimes polyester-fill pillows will cause this because they retain so much heat and keep your head way too warm at night. You might want to switch your pillow to something that is designed to channel away the heat from your body.
