Have you ever had knee replacement surgery?

Question:
I will need both knees done in a year or so and was wandering if you could tell me what it is like to go through it. Fast recovery or very painful?

Answers:
I had a knee replacement done 12 years ago and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. It gave me a new life!! Yes, there was pain but they gave me medication for that. My knee is still good as new. Go for it!!
My ex had it done to his right knee. He said it wasn't so bad. he is very VERY glad he had it done. good luck
My mother had it done, and it took about 3 weeks of physical therapy to get back on her feet. Now she's almost pain free after 6 months. It is painful but they give you meds for pain. Get a good Surgeon and make sure he has experience. Depending on your age & physical condition, you may want to do one at a time...??
Well iv'e never had knee replacement surgery before but i do have a couple of friends that have...not trying to scare ya but it is painful. Recovery will take a while and you'll need a lot of rest. Hope all goes well for ya
