I been taking calicium pills since i have a broken ankle so is the pills helping the bone repair and grow fast

Question:
i broke my ankle 5 weeks ago and is the pills helping or is it right to take calicum pills

Answers:
It certainly can't hurt. When my son broke his femur, the ortho Dr recommended calcium with Vitamin D. It didn't help my son as his break ended in a non-union.
sure, it can help for stonger bones, but I'm not sure if it will help speed the healing process or anything like that. However, be aware that too much calcium can cause kidney stones.
