It happened so fast, I don't really know what happened, but I was on the ground suddenly and my foot hurt. I looked behind me, and there was one of those plug-in air-fresheners was on the ground, and one of the things sticking up that goes in the outlet (I don't remember what they are called, sorry) was bent and bloody. I looked at my foot and it was really bloody. I cleaned it off and my mom and I put Neosporin on it with a bandage. It wasn't rusty or anything, but I was wondering if I do need a tetanus shot. I am only 12, does that make in difference whether I need one or not?

If you have never gotten a tetanus shot, it will definitely not hurt to get one.
Tetanus shots are good for 10 years.
So, if you get one now (whether it is actually necessary or not doesn't matter), you will not need another one for the next 10 years, no matter how many plugs or other things you step in.

Yes you need a tetanus shot. You should get one every 10 years AND anytime you have a deep puncture wound.
At 12 years old you do need one,for the next 10 years you will get a lot of cuts and scratches it is better to be safe than sorry,My brother-in law lost a leg at the age of eleven just like that.Please go get a shot,tell your mom how important this is to you.Good Luck.
