That can be a symptom of a bowel infection.
You should have that checked out because if it is an infection, it's not going to go away on it's own :(
Green usually indicates good fiber and lots of vegetables. This is ok. Color depends on what you ate the day before. If it floats, regardless of color, that means you are getting too much fat in your diet.
Likely that you ate a bunch of green beans, green popsicles, a ton of green fruit chews/rollups/starburst or a container of green play-doh.
Call your doctor if you are worried, otherwise, find something else to do besides scrutinizing your BMs. Ick.

Certain foods can change the color of your bowels... if you've been eating or drinking things that contain a certain artificial blue coloring then your poo will be green... It's nothing to worry about but if you are concerned then go to see your doctor...
I can't say for sure why your poo is green, but I do know that eating blueberries will turn poo green.
It is perfectly normal, it is the food you have eaten.
Do you eat black licorice? Lots of veggies?
Some of the non refridgerated microwave dinners have a perservative that cause green stools.

along with foods mentioned here, it could also be iron supplements and even pepto-bismol or remedies of that nature.
Are you taking iron pills, or a vitamin rich in iron. sometimes that will do it. Or if you are a vegetarian and eating too much greens, that also can do it. If it is really dark green almost black, it could mean internal bleeding, Go to the doctor and have it checked out.
