However to be deemed to be competent in CPR you really should do a CPR class, so you wont cause any further harm or injury to the victim.

There aren't any steps because you DON'T give mouth to nose, the only time you ever cover a persons nose when doing rescue breathing is when it is a baby and then you cover the nose and the mouth
there are lots of classes you can sign up for to learn CPR and be certified. you can call your local hospital, red cross or college to find classes near you. you can also type in CPR to any search engine and find webpages that describe CPR.
