try to go to bed at about 10 o'clock. that would mean you had nine hours before you have to get up. and even if it takes you a little while to fall asleep you will still be plenty rested for the next day.

I believe you need between 8-10 hours. But you may do just fine with 71/2 also...everyone is different.
Just go to bed early, then see how you feel the next day. If you want to see if you can still feel good with less sleep the night before, then start going to bed 30 min later each night.
