Eye/Muscle Twitching ??
Question:
The twitch doesn't hurt at all and most of the time I can't even feel it unless I really concentrate on it. It is pretty noticeable though, it was actually a family member that pointed it out. The jumping muscle is still visible even if I screw my eyes up or close them. It's been twitching pretty constantly.
I haven't really been feeling stressed, although I have gone from one cup of tea a day to as much as 3. I'm getting plenty of sleep. I have about 4-5 hours of computer use most days and around 2 hours of T.V. (But having been doing that for years so don't know why it would be a problem now)
Also in case it's related, I'm 18 yrs, girl.
Thanks, :)
Answers:
A magnesium deficiency can cause twitching and spasms.
the twitching is just a spasm on the muscle, just like we get hiccups you get eye twitches. doesn't sound like its stress related, maybe the increased caffeine (more tea) brought it on. but the less u focus on it the quicker it will go away. I've had eye twitches like this many times
Take Advil every four hours for a day or two, or take magnesium supplements. Magnesium would be the natural way to go.
woah that's weird. Usually this twitch thing is usually due to stress on the eyes and what not so if you're saying that your pretty relaxed and that this thing has been going on for a while then i'd think it best to just see a doctor!
how much sleep are you getting?
most eye twitches are one way of your body telling you you are tired.
are you working out more? whenever my sports season is in full swing, i always feel like my eye is twitching. its because your body is being overworked.
4-5 hour computer use back to back is bad. it will strain your eyes, therefore causing your eye to twitch. however, if its not back to back, it is probably not that big of an issue, but could still be the cause of strained eye
but if its really bad, you might want to go to the doctor.
Eye twitching is invariably a benign condition and self-limiting. Mg supplement may be surely tried, but there is not certainly about its effectiveness. However, be reassured that it will soon resolve.
