probably anxiety. drink some milk before going to bed... and kind of just wait it out... I also have a problem going to bed but sometimes you just have to force yourself to stay in bed. you will eventually be in deep sleep. ;D
Me too. My solution: starting a job. Your solution: structure yourself. If it's bothersome ask your parents what you should do or if you should see the doctor.
You're really raising two issues here, I think, so I'll address both.
First, to change your sleeping pattern, the simplest way is to stay up later. Most people find it more difficult to get up earlier on less sleep than to stay up later and sleep in. Find a day off, and the night before go ahead and stay up as late as you can make yourself stay up. I'm talking 10 or 11 AM here. Then, when exhaustion is overtaking you, eat a fairly large protein-rich meal (slower digestion) and make sure nobody will disturb you. Find a dark room and go to sleep. You'll probably wake up in the evening (maybe 9 PM or so) long enough to use the restroom... fine, but go back to bed. You'll likely then wake up again around 2 or 3 AM. Have some movies or a good book ready and go ahead and get up for the day. Have a moderate carb-rich breakfast for energy but avoid caffiene, and stay up for the day. You should be tired enough to sleep by 9 or 10 PM for at least a few days to a few weeks.
The other problem here is what's causing your insomnia. Stress is a common cause, or anxiety. Your medications may be a contributing factor. I recommend strongly you discuss this problem with your doctor. If your medications could be causing this he could try a different combination of medications to alleviate the problem.
Now, this can be the tough part for us guys: your doctor may recommend you to a psycologist or psychiatrist if he believes your insomnia is caused by stress or anxiety. However uncomfortable you may be with it, if your doctor gives you this referral, GO. Your insomnia is an issue which can and will seriously affect your overall health, leading to all kinds of problems. If counseling is the solution that will work, DO IT. Nip this in the bud.
Good luck to you!
i know exactly what ur going through. But i do it cuz im constantly on the grind. n e wayz, i know why u cant go to sleep...its because your body has too much energy. you can lay down, but then u start thinking of ALL sorts of things and situations and what not. theres a simple solution though..trust me this s**t works with me everytime, you cant fight it.
same, same!i'm also 13 and i DO have da same problem.slepping pills neva work 4 me,even if i take 5 of them at da same time(don't worry,it hasn't killed me yet).reading a really, really boring book or working out helps me.reading a boring book, you OBVIOUSLY can fall asleep.read one of your dad's political books or something.workingout, you get tired and you lose alot of energy,so by the time it's your bedtime you can fell tired and doze off.my god,i juz reread this and It OES NOT make any sense, buh if u tink it will work,go ahead!
wel,,it worked 4 me.hoped it helped!
starred ya!
P.S.cute pic by da way!
