Cheer practice..?

Question:
ok so i injured my left knee 7 weeks ago and have been in an immobolizer since. I started PT 2 weeks ago and have some movement back in my knee without pain. I have practice tonight and i'm going but what if anything would i be able to to at practice. we're just working on stunting, jumps, and tumbling for now until we get the cheorgrapher in september. i am allowed to walk around without the brace on but i still have to wear it at work and such. Should i try stunting (i wont be jumping or tumbling until i get clearance) or should i wait for the clearance on everything. (i'm a base NOT a flyer)?

my injury is a partial tear to my MCL if this helps any

Answers:
Honey, you should wait until the doctor gives you clearance. If you only have clearance to walk around, then only do that. You don't want to risk re-injuring yourself and end up needing surgery and being out of cheering for a long time.
Do not do anything that may further injure that knee. You could turn a few weeks layup into a few months layup and even need surgery. Knee problems are nothing to mess with. Go to practise if you want to be social, but bench yourself.
:)
Man. I have NO IDEA what you're talking about. Are you some sort of stunt-cyclist or something?
Oh wait. no. You're a cheerleader! AHAH! I figured it out.
Hmmm. The only opinion I would trust would be that of a doctor.
Personally, I wouldn't want to endanger my future by rushing an injury. I would take it easy until I knew that I was all there, ya know?
It hasn't been enough time for your knee to heal. I wouldn't try stunts till your doctor says so.
I agree with everyone else, i wait till the dr tells you thats its ok to return to your sports. Let your MCL heal. I hope your knee is ok, How did you hurt your knee? You may email me at alianna_hodiya@yahoo.com
