Stress headaches cn cause all sorts of unexpected symptons. I was even admited to hospital with them.
Best this to do (apart from seeing GP) think about where headache is coming from. Is it based t the top of you neck at the back of your head, generally with out any light sensitivity normally a tension headache. Is it's a severe stabing pain with light sensitivity then it's definatly a mirgraine. Mirgraines can unfortunately last for days. I think my personal record was 4 days!
If it is a tension headache try to chill out, take deep breathe's in thru nose out thru month with eyes closed andsit with feet flat on floor and palms on knees. Keep eyes closed and focus on breathing. No need for pain killers.
If it's a mirgraine, best thing is pain killers and quiet dark room and bed.
I really hope this provides some help, I am a headache suffer my self so kinda know what I'm talking about. If it continues see GP.
Good luck
you're pregnant
Migraine
Are you a penguin...?
Sounds like a tension or migraine headache, they can rebound for days and make you miserable. With a migraine you would have photophobia, nausea/vomiting, headache, where as a tension it would just be the headache and nausea/vomiting.
No one on this site is more qualified than going to your own doctor and ask him/her.
ask a doctor.. if your condition gets worst it could be really bad, like migraine, food poisoning, low blood pressure, or some kind of flu or virus going around... either way, girl, it's best to consult your doctor.
Could be : flu, migraine, seizures, even a brain tumor to name a few of the things that have those symptoms but you should GO TO YOUR DOCTOR and let him tell you what it is and how to take care of it. Give him a call and let him or her help you out (more than likely it isn't as serious as the seizures or tumor but my point is - we arent doctors and you really should see someone qualified).
Why don't you make an appointment to see your GP? Your GP is probably the safest person to ask. You could have picked up a virus from somewhere.Good Luck...
Stress can cause all sorts of physical symptoms. You may have also worn yourself out and caught the flu. Drink plenty of water and take it easy for a few days.
I am voting that it is migraine headaches.I used to have cluster/migraine headaches from Hell.Mine was from a head injury and they shut me down.
If yours are from stress, try this:Take a strong dose of Motrin, drink some cold Mountain Dew with it.Make sure that the drink is cold and contains caffeine. It can be a Coke just as well as anything.
Put on music that you like, make an ice pack with a quart sized bag.Be sure to put some water in there too,it helps spread the cold.
Cover your eyes, put the ice pack right where it hurts and sip on your soda.
You will probably fall asleep at some point and that is perfect. You should wake up feeling much better.
Be advised that the after-affects of a migraine take a few hours to wear off.You will feel like you have been through the mill but you will be over the hard part.
If you feel it coming on,do not try to fight it.Preempt it and use these techniques to take away the ferocity.
