How do I fall asleep quick at night?


Question:
I am 14. I go to bed at around 10 and just lay there until about 2 then finally fall asleep. I usually wake up at 10. What can I do to fallasleep quicker?

Answers:
make sure your more active in the day. if your lazy during the day then you won't be so tired.. and chamomile tea helps relax you to. oh read at night to.. that helps me..
If your parents will let you, taking a Gravol before bed helps me.
drink some hot milk with sugar.
Exercise early and don't eat late. Or masturbate it always puts me rght out.
Try not to think about the next day.Take a shower before sleeping.Read a book.Listen to music.If this becomes a big problem then you could be insomnia
Don't think much when sleeping, Or do something that make you tired at night.
me too. this use to happen to me but soon i found a solution.try listening to music . heres a site and i hope it helps =).
I do that sometimes too. Its hard because you prolly have to be asleep by a certain time to get a certain amount of hours of sleep or whatnot right? Then you get nervous or anxious and sleeping never happens! What I do is think about something else, something that has happened or im looking forward to and start a train of thought. Once you go off thinking you relax a little more and end up just falling asleep. Works every time for me!
most people may ask you if you exercise during the day to help tire your body out, i on the other hand had and still have the same problem even with exercise. the best way i found was 2 Tylenol pm's and some NyQuil lol not the healthyest way im sure but it works.
Two ideas:
1) Wake up with alarm every day at 8. Then, DON'T take a nap!! Keep yourself awake with mid-day friends or exciting videos.
2) If you lie in bed over 15 minutes, get up, do something you don't REALLY like, like washing dishes, for 20 minutes, then lie in bed for 15 minutes. repeat until you fall asleep. That teaches your mind that: being up at night is not fun & sleep is good!
Don't exercise in the evening and don't eat late. A glass of warm milk helps also ( it's not a myth ).
Try not to eat to late have a relaxing bath before bed!
you're probobly not tired enough at 10, try reading around 11 and wait until you feel very sleepy then just turn off the light and doze off

Before you go to bed you can......

A. Read a book with a lot of boring words. It makes me really tired.

B. Drink some tea and relax.

C. Doodle a little bit.

D. Try laying on your stomach with your head to the side if you're normally a back or side sleeper.

E. Close your eyes and think of something, a good memory of what happened today and keep playing it in your mind and you'll most likely start dreaming soon.

try to be relaxed ,,the weather not too hot or cold ,,listen to soft music,, dont sleep after dinner directly,, think of sweet thoughts,, have a shower before going to sleep,, some people drink warm milk ,which i cant tolerate ,, do any relaxing techniques
put some Lavender essence on your pillow, take a hot shower, arrange silent atmosphere and good air flow, switch off all the lights and cancel every thought in your mind, just think of nothing...don't think of your day problems and stuff.
open the window even if its cold. take deep breaths. close your eyes and breath again. feel you body relax and go to bed . leave the window fairly open to allow frsh air. when its cold just cover yourself with a light fluffy quilt and take your time to find a comfortable position. goodnight sleep tite :)
