What's the best health care you can buy for yourself?

I am assuming you are asking about a health care insurance policy. If you are asking where to get the best health care treatment don't bother to read all of this! There are a couple insurance companies that offer affordable health insurance. You customize your plan by selecting the amount of the annual deductible, and whether or not you want to add policy riders. Typically, you can add a policy rider to include maternity coverage, a rider to include mental health and a rider to include prescription drug coverage. You can include all three of these riders or choose just one or two. Plans with a low deductible (i.e. $250) are more expensive than plans with deductibles of $1000 or more.
If you are not planning on getting pregnant exclude the maternity rider as this will save you money on your plan. If you don't need mental health coverage exclude that as well. Whether or not to include prescription coverage is a difficult decision because it is an expensive benefit but brand name prescription drugs are very expensive and you don't know when you might need a prescription.
When selecting a company or companies in which to obtain quotes, stick with a well known company with an A+ or A rating such as Anthem or Aetna. Do not purchase individual health insurance from MEGA Insurance. They claim to provide affordable individual health insurance but they have so many restrictions that all or most of your claims will be denied. When you obtain a quote, review the company's in-network (or preferred providers) so you know whether or not there are in-network physicians in your area. Also, if you have any pre-existing health conditions, find out how long you have to have the policy before claims relating to the pre-existing condition are covered.
In additional to the plan design benefits, the cost of your policy will be depended upon your age, gender, weight and whether you are a smoker or a non-smoker.
Here are some examples from Anthem.
Male, 41 years old, non-smoker, no pre-existing conditions, average height and weight:
Deductible $250 with prescription coverage but without maternity or mental health is $219 per month.
Deductible $1000 with prescription coverage but without maternity or mental health is $147 per month.
A world class hospital - but wait for a sale. They're $$$$$$
Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Our plan consists of everything physicians are licensed to practice and we only pay a fraction of insurance costs. Comparing to others as I have, it is the best!
