I'm trying to change my sleeping cycle, but it's not working...?

Question:
All summer, I've stayed up late [ Until 3:00 a.m. ]
And slept in late [ I usually wake up at 12:30 p.m ]

Now that it's almost time to go back to school, I want to start going to bed at 11:00 p.m. and wake up at 8:00 a.m.

I tried going to bed at 12:30 last night but I couldn't fall asleep!
I lied awake in bed for like, two hours.

What's wrong with me?

Answers:
your body got used to the schedual.. try waking up early if you go to bed at 12 or so try lavender.
Well you could just be used to going to sleep at 3.00 and waking up at 12.30 just try to put on some slow quiet music and lay in bed for 10Min's and if that doesn't work try it 25Min's and then you will fall asleep
Nothing is wrong. Your body takes time to adjust to your new schedule.

Some things to change to try and sleep sooner.
Don't eat after 8 pm.
wake up at 8 am.
do some exercise in the morning.
no tv after 8 pm.
read a boring book at 10 pm.
try some yoga at 8 pm.

good luck
i am wonderring the same thing i.ve been going to bed every night at 5:30am or 2:30am and sleeping untill 1:45am or 12:00 i lyed awake last night for some hrs but finally got to slaeep i think maybe u should look on the web and start eating foods that make u sleepy like fruits ang veggies before bed.
