this pain is normal as you are i think i must say you have just started to play... try applying vaseline after you play your guitar.. that helps to ease the pain and to avoid crackness on your fingertips when it gets harden and dry... best is.. learn from someone you know that play the guitar very well. that is how you get better at guitar.
It will hurt at first, that is normal, but after a while your fingers get used to it and you get calluses and it will be fine. I think it takes about a week or two, but that is a guesstimation since it really depends on how much you practice.
my finger tips are leather from guitar, it will hurt for a while but not for long. you eventually get caluses, ive been playing for years, it doesnt hurt anymore unless icenplayed for a really long time, like been playing for 2hrs
yur music teacher should have told you this
You must have just started playing.. It takes a few months, occurs slowly.but keep playing and soon you'll notice it doesn't hurt anymore. You get some callus there, on your finger tips. Nothing like what you have on your heels and toes, but thin, like a protection from the frets. Sort of like that thing you get on your right middle finger when you've been using a pencil a lot.remember in grade school when those pencils used to hurt?
