Received a blow to inside of left knee - what has happened? Bruising or something worse?

Question:
I received a blow to the inside of my left knee when tackling for a ball in soccer. Probably his knee rammed into the inside of my left knee. It was extremely hard to walk on at first, then pain subsided. Went home and iced. Pain is definitely still there. Hurts to go down stairs, and I can't stand on my left leg and slightly bend without pain. Been icing and elevating it. Wondering it it's just deep bruising or something more?

Located to the direct right side of my kneecap. Pain is on the edge of my kneecap as well as to the side of it. No residual pain on the outside, just once I felt it minorly, but nothing more. Main issue is the inside of my knee. No bruising (yet) and no real swelling. What's happened?!

Answers:
Ouch! If it still hurts now you should see a doctor and it may be something more than a bruise---you could have torn something and you don't want that to go untreated. Feel better soon!
by your description i think i know what you mean. i had the same thing 4 months ago i left it alone and just tried to ignored it cuz i hate to have to see a doctor or somethin and after a couple of weeks it was gone... but i dunno
what do you mean no real swelling? if there even some swelling around the knee. go to the doctor and have the fluid draw from your knee. if the fluid is clear, then you just have a bad bruise. if the fluid have any sign of blood in it there is a good chance you have torn your ACL.
I would get the knee checked out.
