Once in a while when i try to swallow food or liquid?

Question:
this usually happends when i just wake up and only like maybe 3 times a month/. when i try to swallow food or even water i feel like there is pressure in my throat and it pushes down on something in my throat. and it hurts! if i press the sides of my throat then i can actually brin some down but i can feel like a lump or something and after a while it goes away.does anyone else experiance this? and if so what could it be? and what can i do to make it go away?

Answers:
It sounds like it could possibly be your thyroid. Or it could just be a swollen gland too. But if it is causing problems swallowing, then I would definitely get it checked out.
