Question:
for about 3 years every soccer year i get really bad shin pains and equally bad pain in my feet and ankles. some times it effects me knees...i cant seem to tell it the pain is in my bone or muscle but generally it feels like a deep dull pain.also i find massaging and pushing down with my fingers into the areas where the joints/bone are help...it hurts badly to massage them but afterwards it helps...lastly i dont think im over exerting myself...im in pretty good shape, stay active in winter (but not as much ) and have friends who are in soccer with me and exercise more often ,yet experience no pain...lastly i am only 21 years old (female)...has anyone experienced this pain and can tell me what it is or what to do..(ANY DOCTORS)..its really frustrating as i can jog or long nor play soccer
Answers:
Have you ever try walking backwards to relax your shins after-wards?. you might have actually scarred your shins so badly in the past, and that they didn't get to heal properly. it also could be arthritis. Some people just have bad luck and get it at a young age. I broke my ankle, and now have it the opposite one as well that I broke from limping. If i even play tennis, i have to know that I am going to need ice and heat for several days, to ease the pain. It sucks, not knowing what the pain is, but well is the fun worth it? i think so prior to the sport, but the next day, i always want to kick myself in the ***, because it takes sometimes weeks to recover from it.
maybe its shin splints?
