Answers:
Yes, you need to see a health care provider as soon as possible. The burn sounds severe.
go to the dr. get some silvadine ointment, it is for burns, it works great
Go to the doctor!
The fact that it doesn't hurt probably isn't too good. I'm not a nurse or anything... but I did get burned pretty bad once. It didn't hurt, and I was 8, so I just ignored it - and the loose, hanging skin fell away until I got this big nasty pit, and then the nasty pit turned green and smelled horrrrrible - it was ROTTING. It did that for about two months, and then I guess it just uglied away for a few more months, and then finally it scabbed over, and maybe eight months after getting burned, it was healed - kind of. It's still this depression in my leg, and no hair grows there; the color's all dark and wrong and it looks like celophane. It's GROSS, and now it's super-sensitive to sunburn. Oh, I also can't feel much of anything there anymore.
Yeah - anyway, the point is - burns are gross. They can get a LOT grosser in a few weeks, and if you need a skin graft, the best time to get one would be NOW. Not when you're molding. Ughhh.
Good luck! Hope it all works out and heals clean :)
go to an ER sounds like 2nd n 3rd degree burns. keep them clean and apply burn cream. but go to the DR
I did the same thing years ago when I was in college.
Firstly, go to your doctor. It sounds like your burn is 2nd degree. If your doctor gives you the OK to heal it at home, go to your local chemist and ask them for a burns dressing. There is one on the market that traps fluid and keeps it in the wound. Don't change this dressing, it is designed to stay on for days at a time. It worked incredibly well for the burn I gave myself...you can't even see where it was nowdays.
good luck!
