our system has serious flaws, but compared to other countries it seems to work better. Yes those who can afford it get better health care, and yes some of the poor fail to get care. With universal health care everyone gets the same care although it is often poor. There is no solution to healthcare problems it is just a choice between lesser evils.
Recent stories from England about imported bomb making doctors say something about socialized medicine.

Sicko is not only one sided but totally flawed. He doesn't mention the long wait periods and the level of treatment.
Look up the facts, look at how many people want to be doctors in Europe, Canada, or Mexico-- very few because under universal health care there is no incentive in being a doctor. The pay is terrible for amounts of responsibilities.
Michael Moore is just a communist who hates this country that made him rich. He is a hippocrit and a big fat asshole.
I think they should deport his *** to one of his favored nations and see if he needs health care if he still favors france over the us. Over 100,000 major surgeries are done to patients coming from over seas, I wonder why that is? I have relatives in Canada, if a major surgery is needed they come to the US not stay in their beloved Canada.
There is a problem with the system of being over priced but i rather pay a lot and get a lot. In Mexico, if a traveler is hurt or becomes ill, they rush them to the US, why they are more than 70% at risk of getting something more deadly than they already have.
Now to France's medical system-
France pays in more than 65% in income to their social programs. Average wait time to see a doctor: 6 months, average wait for a transplant: 2 yrs. If Micheal Moore looks up US history, he could find that this is a Capitalist nation not a Socialist. People can't always rely on others to pay for them.
Well, how much do you want to pay in taxes (so that others can have healthcare)?
How many good quality folks are going to go to medical school when they will no longer work in a competitvie environment with good pay?
How long do you want to wait for medical procedures? An hour? A week? A month!?!?!?
Everything has flaws. But that's better than nothing, which is what we've got here, NOTHING!! Michael Moore presumes that you understand it's flawed, but it's at least something. Don't listen to these naive people writing against a national health care system. They are just repeating the old junk that the AMA spreads to create fear. Even newspapers repeat the same old junk, cause if they don't they will lose a lot of $$$ from their medical customers who advertise in their paper. Use your own inteligence to come to the truth.
