Bitten and pregnant?

Question:
I spent a wonderfully relaxing day in the garden yesterday, but I now have 2 insect bites on my foot that are swollen and itching like mad. I am 28 weeks pregnant and every product in my house says not recommended for pregnant women. What can I use?
They are really itching!

Answers:
Benadryl will work for you...and won't harm
the Baby...Good Luck.
Dab vinegar on them, safe but a bit smelly and works
DO NOT PUT VINEGAR ON THEM! Vinegar is an acid and may just make the swelling worse. Fill a dish up with water and add a few drops of TCP or Dettol - always check the label though, just to make sure you can do this whislt pregnant - TCP and Dettol kill bacterias and will soothe your feet and bring down the swelling. I always use these are a combat for insect bites, but as I said, do check the label just in case!
You are a bit limited as the general rule is no medication should ideally be used in pregnancy. Some of the antihistamines have a prcaution rather than a contraindication (levocetirizine for example) and calamine lotion is OK.
tea tree oil should be fine or go to your local chemist and ask them they will know what you can use
i dont know what theyre called, but there are these little zapper things that you put on the bite, and click the button, gives you the tiniest electric shock. seems to work on me.

but you should still check if its ok to use when your pregnant.
I would use Calamine lotion.
ice cubes, wrapped in kitchen roll, or put your fee in a bowl of cold water. I used to live in the states and got bitten all the time, the only thing that really calmed them down was putting my feet in a sink of cold water.
