36 weeks pregnant with numbness in right leg?

Question:
I was hurt at work almost a month ago and for the past two weeks I have been having numbness in my right leg after I have been sitting and laying down sometimes when just working on my feet. The doc said I have a thoracic strain. could the pregnancy be causing the numbness or could the injury?

Answers:
I would think that the numbing sensation is probably coming more from the injury. The pregnancy could play a role in this, depending on the amount of strain you put on your legs on a daily basis. When standing, try putting more weight on the left leg. Also, when you lay down, try to find a comfortable position where you aren't putting much pressure on the affected leg. You might have pinched a nerve or be having bad circulation so if it is possible, seek a professional opinion from another doctor. Hope you get better soon.
