Is there any thing to make a mosquito bite go away quicker?

Question:

Answers:
alcohol
no but rubbing alcohol can stop the itching
I used to take an aspirin, wet with a drop of water, and make it into a paste, then rub on the bite. It takes the itching and redness away. Otherwise, you can try an over the counter bite/sting relief medication.
put some iodine or alcohol on it daily.
have you put calamine lotion on? it dries them up and relieves itch. It's a thickish pink liquid. dab it on with tissue or qtip and let it dry - reapply a couple of times a day if it gets worn/sweated off
I just saw a new product that is for bites and stings. Check with your pharmacy... it just came out... sorry, I don't remember the name.
Take your finger, lick them and pour a ton of table salt on it and then rub it into the bite. takes it away instantly. Hope this helps out. This all i use when i get bit.
In truth, there are a wide variety of remedies for mosquito bites. Many of them equally effective.

The first step in any remedy is to stop scratching the bite. This will irritate the bite less and cause less redness and swelling. What you chose from then on is a matter of personal preference, based on what you have available to you.

An old woodsman trick is to apply some saliva to the bite area, though the effectiveness of this method is not truly known.

Best solution is to apply diphenhydramine (Benadryl) topically to the bite. In some more severe cases, you may need to apply hydrocortisone cream.

Other good solutions are licodaine jelly, aloe vera, or any over-the-counter itch-reliever (many contain what's already listed).

"Remedies" that have been found to be not as effective are calamine lotion, baking soda, toothpaste, and vinegar.
don't scratch it. it makes the spot more irritated and then you scratch more. if you let the bite heal naturally and don't agitate it, it will go away faster.
