Spider Bite Question?!?
Question:
Answers:
Most house hold spiders are not harmful - they at least cannot bite and release enough venom to render you sick. You can have an localized allergic reaction. Take some Benadryl. and apply ice to the effected area.
As a side note - or trivia bit - the most poisonous spider is the Daddy Long Leg. But they are too small to release enough venom to kill a person.
Do you know what kind of spider it was?
You need to go to your doctor ASAP. It may have been a relatively harmless, non-poisonous spider. But if it were something like a brown recluse, you'll need immediate medical intervention. Either way, you should at least get an antibiotic just in case. Go to the doctor TODAY...better to be safe than sorry!
Get it checked out. They can be very dangerous. better safe than sorry. A friend of mine got bitten and ended up having to have surgery because she didn't go to the doctor.
You said "one morning", so I assume this happened a while ago?
You will usually know within an hour if your bite is anything to worry about. If it starts swelling and is painful, or if you start having trouble breathing, then you definitely need to be concerned and at least call your doctor or poison control immediately (although if you do start having trouble breathing, I would suggest getting to the emergency room).
If it's been more than an hour and it only 'kinda itches' you can still call your doctor to reassure yourself, but chances are you will be fine.
