Is soreness and sensitivy in head common a year after concussion?

Question:
A year ago next week I was in a bike accident. Wasn't wearing a helmet, hit the back of my head pretty hard. Didn't lose consciousness, sort of confused for a couple minutes, bounced back in a day or two... I've had to sleep on my side ever since because the back of my head is sore when I try to rest on it...

Saw a clinic doctor 3 months later for diarrhea and fainting... mentioned the accident, he shined a light in my eyes, said I looked fine and that it was probably anxiety. Went to a "real" doctor for the continuing diarrhea and fainting, didn't bother to mention accident- turned out I had giardia. a year later and the back of my head still hurts, and if the first doctor missed a simple case of girardia, then I don't trust his 2 minute flash light neurological evaluation.

I mentioned that I can't sleep on my back to a work friend and he seemed a bit concerned that I'd still be feeling physical pain a year after the accident. Is the soreness potentially a minor issue?

Answers:
I would have it checked out. I can think of a number of things that could be causing it. Start off with a simple x-ray, it coule be as simple as a hairline fracture.
