My knee has been hurting for a week know.?
Question:
Answers:
Like you I was running on a sore knee, I ended up putting too muck strain on it and having knee surgery, all because like you I wouldn't stop .
since its been a week hun, you need to see a doctor. if you don't it could get worse and you may need surgery. who knows, you may even need it now. i really suggest you go to a doctor.
talk to your school trainer or your coach about it.
it's better to find out whats wrong before you end up in serious condition (wheel chair)
if your like a teenager, you might have a deasie call oskinslaughters, it's a growing deasi that'll go away after about a week, i mean the pain will, BUt i'm not a doctor so.... i mean i have it so. just ice it everyday!
trust me i went through a similar situation GO TO THE DOCTOR ok go see him and listen to what he has to say. if there is something seriously bad the best thing is to get off your leg
bottom line either you listen to him and miss maybe a few cross country practices or you could get hurt more seriously and possibly miss the entire season or even more
I think it may be spelled, Osgoodschlatters diesase. Not a disease to speak of but the above is right. My son has it. You need to rest it or you might end up with permanent injury. Talk to the coach like they said and see a doc ASAP. You cannot afford to keep running until you find out what is wrong.
Talk to a coach or other adult about it, and if it does not get any better you need to see a doctor. You do not want to risk your health just because you want don't want to miss your cross country practice.
If you don't get to see the doctor ASAP, you might not be able to cross country anymore. It is serious as you could be self-damaging your joints. Please take it seriously and don't run until you find out what is wrong with it and take some action to help it.
If you don't have time to see the doctor, go to ER. You might need to cancel one event or spend extra money, but the payback is greater, if you truly care about your health. Which, looking at your question, seems to be the case.
You say I can't miss crosscountry. But look, you got: 1. pain 2. pain getting worse even after moderate exercise 3. your plan to continue running despite the pain. If all these do not convince you to seek help and stop self-injury, then I doubt any of us can.
Good luck
