What will happen if you miss a dose?

Question:
of Lexapro for a couple of days.
I have been taking it for a few months and wont have a refill until about 4 more days. Will I notice a big change? I am not going to stop taking it, but it will be a few days before I can get a refill.

Answers:
Definitely not a drug you should quit cold turkey. If you can't afford your RX, ask your doctor for some samples to keep on hand for the time in between. They generally have plenty.
You may notice a dip in your mood, get back to it ASAP.
It probably wont be good for you and will probably throw you off. If you go to your pharmacy they should be able to give you an emergency supply until your regular refill is available. But I dont understand, they give you enough to take until your refill is available so how did you run out before your refill?
Here's a link with some common questions and answers that may help. There was no definitive answer on missing a couple of doses. They suggest contacting your doctor, and I'd advise the same. Explain to him your problem and maybe he has some sample packets that he could give you and that would get you through till you get your Rx refilled.
Depends on your dose amount. You will probably feel the difference and even a few days after you start taking them until the same dose starts flowing through your body again.
