Is spreaded arm length really equal to your height?

Question:
is it average or something or is it suppose to be longer than your height.

Answers:
In general it should be within a couple of inches. for some the arms are longer while others (most I think) are shorter.
It is an approximation. If you had marfans or something then it wouldn't be close.
yes it is.
if not, then its close to your height.
Whats marfans?

edit : oh I looked it up, imagine that.
It should be equal. I know I've measured the span of my arms and it equalled my height. I was rather surprised that it worked, I didn't believe it until I tried it. Give it a try, you will be surprised.
Quite simply...yes.
I am 5'4" and my arm span is 5'8" . I know my father's arm span is longer than his height. Think about boxers they give their arm span and some of them are really long compared to their height.
