Sharp pain when jogging?
Question:
Answers:
2 hours is generally not long enough due to the physiology the digestive tract. 3 works much better! try that and see how it goes.
There are two things I can suggest as a runner myself and experiencing cramps and stitches while running.
Number one: You actually should drink water so that you are fully hydrated up until about 15 minutes before you run. The key is to not eat solid foods and hour before you run (not two or three just an hour). Hydration is key in many situations like these because a cramp is the muscles contracting because they are dehydrated, and you are dehydrating your body which is the most likely cause of this pain.
Number two: While I am running (I call it the "miracle breathing exercise") breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. It doesn't work one your first breath, but after about 20 seconds it dulls the pain of the cramp and eventually makes it go away in some cases. I don't know the science for this one, but it has worked for the past two years I have been using this breathing technique, and it has never failed to at least dull my pain so I could run better and keep a solid form.
the above answers are very good, try eating weetabix(with hot milk, pasty) about 1.5 or 2 hours b4 your run. also sometimes you have to run through the stitch, its painful but you will find the next time you run you will be less prone to stitches
