I have this friend of mine that constantly picks on her sores/bites from bugs. how do i get her to stop??

Question:
she has a very bad habit of picking on her bites from mosquitoes or a scab she may have or anything...maybe a cut and her open sores end up staying much longer than they really should.
how can i help her stop?

Answers:
EASY!
Tie her hands together behind her back...
Seriously, tell your friend that by picking at her bits'n'pieces, her skin is abraided and she is letting bugs (UGH!), into her skin and obviously, that is why these sores etc take a long time to heal. This 'picking' thing is usually just a habit and by reminding her, GENTLY, to stop, she might....stop.
Another alternative is that she gets her mom to buy some cream or ointment to put on these bites so the itching is eased a lot, and will aid healing. Tell your friend that if she keeps scratching, her skin will scar and scars are forever!
Itching is caused by the release of histamine, a hormone, and that's why she scratches.
So, to recoup, a cream/ointment, a small dressing on the itch, a bandaid, and a gentle reminder from you, her friend.
By the way, do you have a mosquito problem where you live? and why does she have 'scratches' on her body in the first place..(Showering daily is good as it helps stop bugs burrowing into the skin, itching, and leaving scars).
Annie.
put lotion on it for her so that it doesnt itch so bad
