How can you make a sprained wrist heal faster?

Question:
I did something to my wrist (im not sure but it is the only one that gets hurt) is there any way that i can heal my wrist in record time?

Answers:
The general rule for sprains is ice for the first 24 hours, and heat thereafter. When possible keep the arm elevated, higher that your heart, if possible. I suggest an ace (stretchy) bandage. Wrapped snug but not tight. Aspirin can also help after 24 hours. The ice, elevation, and ace bandage are meant to reduce swelling, to slow and help stop the inner bleeding to the area. That way there is less leaked blood in the intersticial tissue areas and therefore less blood that your body will have to evacuate from that area. Hence, faster healing and less pain. Aspirin and heat will help blood flow which will promote healing. But do not take aspirin or apply heat until after 24 hours, until after the internal bleeding from whatever damage you did has stopped. Aspiring and heat before 24 hours is counterproductive.
go to walmart and get a bowlers wrist guard it will keep your wrist from bending
Wrist sprains are notoriously difficult to diagnose and wrist pain can be indicative of a carpal bone fracture or subluxation, tendinitis or even degenerative bone disease such as arthritis or other inflammatory conditions.
As a general rule a wrist sprain relates to 1 specific event (fall, twisting injury etc) ...
If you are sure it is a sprained wrist then there are a number of wrist strengthening exercises you can do to increase its strength (usually good to do both wrists at same time - check out some physiotherapy websites).
It is also worth taking some simple pain medicine to take the edge of the pain so you can continue to mobilse the wrist.
There are however some conditions where exercise will make things worse (specific tendinitis's of the wrist and thumb tendons) so you might want to get it checked out in case you end up doing more damage ..
either way there is no such thing as healing a 'sprain' in record time - these injuries usually take a minimum of 7 days - 3 weeks depending on the degree of injury
