Vomitted Blood yesterday and have stomach pain today?

Question:
Yesterday morning I had a migraine which cause nausea and vomitting - sometimes it's extreme, like yesterday. I noticed a fair amount of blood in the vomit...then took my medication and went to sleep for several hours. When I woke, I didn't feel great but never do after a migraine, so I thought that's all it was.

Now today I am having quite a bit of stomach discomfort. Pain and burning in my upper abdomen.

I know I should go to the doctor but I have terrible insurance and really can't afford it, let alone taking the time off work.

Any ideas what this might be? or what I could do to make if feel better?

Answers:
All those medicines you are on are really hard on your GI tract. When you vomit blood, have burning in the upper abdomen, and you do not feel good then that spells GI bleed. You need to get to a doctor pronto. You say you have horrible insurance but would you rather not go to the doctor and possibly die from an infection or would you rather go and live? I hope you go or have already went.
it MAY be cancer!! of u cough up blood again, please just go to the doctor!
What medication is it? If it's something like ibuprofen or tylenol, an NSAID, then you should see if you are talking the right dose. And the right dose is between 200 and 800 milligrams a day. If it is your medication, then you should stop taking it before your liver conks out.
Well, it's time to decide how much your life is worth. Vomiting blood is NEVER one of those symptoms you can just ignore. It's just not a good sign, and yes, you can die from it. Several things: 1) Are you taking aspirin, blood thinners of any kind, ulcer meds of any kind, acetominophen, ibuprofen or any other NSAID's? 2) If the answer is yes to any of these, I want you to go to the ER, TODAY. I'm not going to even hazard a guess as to what caused the blood in your vomit. This situation is serious enough, as I said, to warrant a trip to the ER NOW. People can die, and die quickly from a perforated ulcer or GI bleed, and other conditions with symptoms like this. I value your life, I hope you do too! Please go now.

All blessings on you, and may you be well for many years to come.
you really dont have a choice, please go to the nearest emergency room. you could have a bleeding ulcer that is not going to just get better. you could bleed out. please consider your health right now, and not the $.goodluck
