What helps an ear infection?
Question:
Answers:
You're going to have to visit the Dr and get some antibiotics...the peroxide and 'ear cleaners' are dong more harm than good...
Well for one you need to see a doctor and get some medication for that. You don't want to let that get out of hand it could really cause some serious problems and you could loose your hearing.
Similasan Ear Ache Relief. It helps me every time I get one. I think I got it at wal mart for like 8 bucks. It soothes and calms your ear down. They are drops (which EVERYONE hates) but they make you feel SO much better.
I know how you feel, just go to the pharmacy and ask the pharmicist what he reccomends. I hope you feel better... Honestly.
ohhh...sounds like u are going to need some antibiotics. i have a prescription for a z pack...wish i could give it to you. ear pain is no fun! try laying on a heating pad, keep that ear facing down, so it can drain.
Also try
*heat - a warm (as hot as you can stand it) washcloth laid on the ear should help ease the pain.
*I was going to suggest peroxide. Are you doing a few drops every couple of hours?
*Colloidal Silver is a natural antibiotic/antiviral. Just tip your head sideways and put in a few drops every couple of hours and let it run down into the ear canal. You can find it at most health/vitamin stores or online at naturessunshine.com
*Have you also considered swimmers ear? I don't know if the treatment would be the same or not.
Hope you feel better soon.
peroxide, you shouldn't have done you could have damaged it more. try a blow dyrer but really you might want to go to the doctor.
I get this all the time sinus inffection medicine some rest and tea should do the trick. Time is the best advice i can give you if it doesnt heal soon you should go to a doctor or web md not YouQA.com
You need to go in and be seen. BUT it's not all bad news - even if you don't have health insurance. More and more there are clinics operated by nurse practitioners that are much much much more affordable than a doctor's visit. If you have a nursing school in town (i.e. university or community college), they might be able to refer you to one. I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the care.
Several years ago, I got a ear infection, and I went to a ear specialist. He examined it, and then gave me some ... eye drops. Yes, I said "eye drops". He told me to lay on the bed, and have someone put only two drops of the eye drops down in the ear canal. Then after 15 minutes, to roll over onto the other side, and let it drain out.
I was unsure about whether it would work or not, but it did work.
Definitely sounds like an ear infection.
I wouldnt mess about too much with this and GO SEE A DOCTOR NOW for some antibiotics!
It's not life threatening or anything but since ears, nose, and throat are all connected...an infection here could easily spread and make life more uncomfortable than it already is!
In the meantime, peroxide will help although it will hurt like blazes when you apply it.
I'd be more inclined to use medical alcohol...again it will still hurt but is milder.
Get some in an eye dropper...lie down with infected ear upwards and place a good squirt in your ear. Move your ear about using your fingers to move the alcohol around before standing back up and allowing it to drain out...catch it using a tissue or similar.
You can always jump on one leg with the ear containing alcohol facing towards the ground to assist with drainage.
The alcohol will help kill off the infection and dry your ear out.
Hope all goes well.
Cheers :)
i had the same problem, try heat it works well or you can put mullein/garlic oil in the ears hourly for a day or two
